Sometimes in life’s journey of growth, learning, and exploration, it can bring you right back to the beginning.

Vera Linton's artistic career began early, but she didn't know she was a writer until college, when her stories began to capture her professors’ attention. Although she chose another direction, her yearning for telling compelling stories lingered.

Linton pursued her passion for fine art, earning awards along the way, until she transitioned to a career in digital illustration and design.

Linton was raised in California, the daughter of Russian immigrant parents, along with her seven siblings. “Life was different as the daughter of immigrants,” she reflects on her upbringing. “You went to school and tried to fit into normal, American life. Yet, our home life often clashed with the life we saw outside.”

The search for a distinct identity gave rise to her Maggie Bloom series, in which a woman discovers life is an adventure waiting to be lived. “My character Maggie blossomed out of the lessons I learned from my mother’s strength and drive to live life to the fullest after the death of my father.” She strives to create stories that are relatable to everyone. Her characters are fresh, alive, and real.

Linton has come full circle, picking up her brushes once again in this chapter of life. In the Gallery, you will find new and exciting artwork created by the artist, inspired by her life’s journey and personal growth. “There is nothing like feeling the weight of your brushes in the palm of your hand.”
